William H. Pipes was born in Tennessee in 1847. He married Doschia Crittenden in 1882 and raised a family and moved to Craighead Co., Arkansas in the late 1880s. We have connected him to the Pipes family from Hardin County, Tennessee. His parents were John Pipes of Limestone Co., Alabama and Delilah Emaline Adams of Hardin Co., Tennessee.
He is a descendant of Phillip Pipes and his story/genealogy many be found on the main page under Phillip Pipes.
His sisters Mary Jane and Sarah also lived here after 1880. Mary Jane married Milam Guess and Sarah married Wesley Mills.
Several of William's children lived in the area of Poinsett Co. and Craighead Co. He died there in 1916 - 1918 in a flu epidemic.
